The long head of the biceps brachii muscle attaches to the shoulder and acts as a stabiliser. Furthermore it has actions in supination the forearm and flexing the elbow<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/fonts.gstatic.com\/s\/e\/notoemoji\/15.0\/1f3cb_1f3fd_200d_2640_fe0f\/32.png?w=580&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\ud83c\udfcb\ud83c\udffd\u200d\u2640\ufe0f\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\">Symptoms of bicipital tendinopathy include pain in the anterior shoulder [at the bicipital groove] and pain that is made worse with overhead activities. Bicipital tendinopathy is common in individuals who play sports that involve repetitive overhead movements such as swimming and baseball or something as simple as putting clothes on the line or drilling\/screwing\/lifting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/fonts.gstatic.com\/s\/e\/notoemoji\/15.0\/1f447_1f3fb\/32.png?w=580&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\ud83d\udc47\ud83c\udffb\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\">Bicipital Tendinopathy in isolation is rare and it is usually associated with other conditions such as impingement or injury to the rotator cuff or labrum<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/fonts.gstatic.com\/s\/e\/notoemoji\/15.0\/1f938_1f3fc_200d_2640_fe0f\/32.png?w=580&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\ud83e\udd38\ud83c\udffc\u200d\u2640\ufe0f\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\">Treatment and rehabilitation will be based on the individual and their functional requirements.
