A new patient consult is for NEW or FIRST time patients to The Melbourne Chiropractor for Chiropractic Services. This consult includes a case history, posture scan, movement analysis, pain assessment, orthopaedic testing and a full body treatment.
Referral for X-ray imaging (if required) is bulk-billed through Medicare.

During this consult patients will be given a plan that identifies problem areas and reasons as to why treatment modalities/exercises and rehab programs should begin including (if applicable) a detailed report on any X-ray images to assess spinal anatomy/alignment and ailments for a decisive diagnosis of your condition.

10 Minute Consultation
A short Chiropractic consult is for a quick adjustment only. This appointment is great for maintenance patients requiring an adjustment to a specific pain area or a general check up. Our chiropractors are qualified to offer treatment for a wide range of spinal conditions and symptoms.
(If the treatment time exceeds a short consult, you will be charged at the extended rate or long detailed rate)

15 Minute Consultation
A standard chiropractic consult allows our chiropractors to spend more time on a full body treatment, soft tissue release and rehabilitation , or allows us to focus on acute pain.
This visit may be helpful to patients suffering from a recent trauma, acute pain conditions, more than one area of complaint, headaches, stress or anxiety, pregnancy related pain (choose pregnancy consult), or sciatica/shooting nerve pain.

30 Minute Consultation
A long detailed visit will allow our chiropractors to spend more time on full body treatment, prescribe you a tailored rehabilitation program, and make sure you know how to do your exercises correctly.
It is recommended that if you are in acute pain, have more than 1 area of complaint or require additional time for soft tissue treatment, that you select this appointment.

15 Warm Up Massage
Having a warm up or cool-down massage before or after an adjustment will help the muscles to warm up and release. It will also help to loosen joints and increase blood flow to the areas of concern to allow for a smoother, more effective adjustment thereafter. It may help increase general mobility and decrease overall tension.
